I noticed that when we receive a job satisfaction questionnaire everybody moan about being a waste of time, that the results never correspond to how they really feel about their job.
This is because from all those items, just a very few are relevant/ important to us.
Job satisfaction check started as a need to quantify the satisfaction, taking into consideration the personal view, using the item importance to weight the scores.
From period to period, not only satisfaction can change for an item but even its importance. Say, you need a loan – all of a sudden the salary becomes the most important!
